 If hiking is what you are looking for then the Landon Bay Centre, located on the 1000 Islands Parkway, is a great place to go. Landon Bay has three forest trails and one marsh trail for a total of four kilometers of marsh and forest trails. Charleston Lake Provincial Park also offers great trails and views that anyone can and will enjoy. The is has six trails that are well maintained and offer a beautiful setting for good hiking. While on the six paths you can experience history, geology, a 256 metre boardwalk and much, much more. The park also features nature trails with some available for the physically challenged.

 For those of you who are looking for a canoe excursion that would involve some camping and a little portaging, the Charleston Lake to Gananoque Lake route was made for you. Some points of interest on this route are the Outlet Dam, Lime Lake Lookout and Lost Bay Campsite to name a few.
